INTRODUCTION

A brand new original TV animation project from the up-and-coming and talented animation studio NUT that brought the megahit “The Saga of Tanya the Evil” series to both the TV screen and the silver screen is now finally on the move! Bringing together an all-star staff of creators and artists, this gut-wrenching Sci-Fi action epic depicted on an astounding scale will reunite the golden duo of world-renowned director Yuzuru Tachikawa (10 billion-yen international blockbuster “Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer”, his self-penned “Death Parade” etc.) and scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko (“Banana Fish”, “Vinland Saga” etc.) who worked together on the popular TV animation adaptation of “Mob Psycho 100.”

STORY

Many years have passed since humanity was driven to the brink of extinction by the sudden emergence of the unknown life forms Gadoll. Those humans that survived now dwell in a 3000m-high mobile fortress Deca-dence built to protect themselves from the Gadoll threat. Denizens of Deca-dence fall into two categories: Gears, warriors who fight the Gadoll daily, and Tankers, those without the skills to fight. One day, Natsume, a Tanker girl who dreams of becoming a Gear meets surly Kaburagi, an armor repairman of Deca-dence. This chance meeting between the seemingly two opposites, the girl with a positive attitude who never gives up on her dreams and the realist who has given up on his, will eventually shake the future course of this world.

CHARACTER

Kaburagi

CV Katsuyuki Konishi

A veteran armor repairer, he is blunt and surly. Was once a great warrior but has lost the ardor to fight and spends his days apathetically. But his state of mind starts to change through his encounter with Natsume who never gives up on her dreams.

Natsume

CV Tomori Kusunoki

A girl who lost her father and her right arm due to a Gadoll attack when she was a child. She dreams of joining The Power and fight the Gadoll as a warrior, but reality bites, and ends up working under Kaburagi as an armor repairer. Cheerful, energetic, and reckless.

Minato

CV Kohsuke Toriumi

The Commander in Chief of Deca-dence. Calm and composed, cerebral, he is hard to replace in the fight against the Gadoll, in charge from game plan building to emergency decision making. He has known Kaburagi for long and still worries about him who retired from the battle field.

Kurenai

CV Eri Kitamura

One of the strongest female warriors among the tankers in The Power. She spearheads her troop in battle fields with her henchmen Sou and Ryu. Brave but plenteous in mercy, she bundles her men together with her charisma. She is Natsume's long-time admiration.

Donatello

CV Rikiya Koyama

Colleague of Kaburagi during his days as a warrior who worked as a Balancer, but Kaburagi acting on his own had lead to Donatello eventually being fired as a Balancer and sent to the Bug Correction Facility. A barbaric man who is proud of his physical strength, he keeps the cyborgs in the Facility in line.

Hugin

CV Taketo Koyasu

A member of the Game Police that keeps surveillance in the Deca-dence and disposes or retrieves a bug when it is found. His priority is to strictly follow orders from the System and is feared by the cyborgs. His motto is ”There is no place for bugs in this world."

Munin

CV Kotono Mitsuishi

A member of the Game Police who accompanies Hugin. Can only emit the mechanical sound “Peep-peep” but seems able to communicate with Fugin. Highly emotional despite his cute appearance, and is severe in his judgments against bugs.

Turkey

CV Yutaka Aoyama

Colleague of Kaburagi during his days as a warrior who worked as a Balancer, but was sent to the Bug Correction Facility along with Donatello. Noticeably vicious and cruel, he enjoys tormenting the weak.

Mikey

CV Taito Ban

A colleague of Kaburagi during his days as a fighter. Worked as a Ranker. Looked up to senior Ranker Kaburagi, but got ‘scrapped’ for removing his Limiter, which is a Cheating Offense.

Fei

CV Mei Shibata

A friend of Natsume who grew up in the same orphan home. She became a demolition worker after she left the home. She respects Natsume's dream to become a warrior, but always worries for her welfare. A kind-hearted that she felt relief at Natsume's becoming an armor repair worker.

Linmei

CV Yoshino Aoyama

A girl who grew up in the same orphan home Natsume lived in. Always with her entourage. She is ill at ease with Natsume, picking a fight one way or another. She worked as a demolition worker after she left the home.

Fennel

CV Eiji Takeuchi

He is an armor repair worker in Kaburagi Group, a work senior of Natsume. He is a half-baked repair worker but he supports Natsume kindly. Flippant with good beat, he takes Natsume out for dinner often.

Pipe

CV Eri Kitamura

A Pet Gadoll Kaburagi found and took home from a battle field. Unlike other normal Gadoll, this one is not violent and fairly became attached to Kaburagi and Natsume.

Jill

CV Michiyo Murase

A female-type cyborg that Kaburagi met in the Bug Correction Facility. Cool, smart, and well-informed, she is familiar with the details of the System of the Deca-dence as well. She seems to be even aware of Kaburagi’s actions before he was sent to the Facility, but her origin is shrouded in mysteries.

Sarkozy

CV Yuuji Ueda

A cyborg that Kaburagi met in the Bug Correction Facility. A coward and a pushover who never defies the strong, but he is good at procuring goods and thus considered handy by other fellows in the Facility who call him “Saru (monkey).”
